(via missmodular) Dyna Moe’s ‘Mad Men’ illustration set on Flickr.
Mad Men is a TV show on AMC. These are my drawings of people and things from the show.
I started by doing Rich Sommer’s (Harry Crane) Christmas card to his coworkers last season. I decided to keep going.
I’m doing a new desktop wallpaper for every episode of the second season. Sometimes more than one.
Customizable prints of the most popular illustrations are for sale through zazzle.com.
I’m basing the look on (but don’t come within one iota of the amazingness of) illustrators Aurelius Battaglia, Alice & Martin Provensen, and J. P. Miller (among others) who did advertising and commercial art during the era the show is set. (Check out Flickr groups Mid-Century Illustrated and Retro Kid to see the real stuff)
