Check out three different versions of Alicia Keys’ new single Girl On Fire! This includes the original version, the ‘Inferno’ version which features two verses from Nicki Minaj, and ‘Blue Light’ version. Alicia is set to perform this single during the upcoming 2012 MTV Video Music Awards (this Thursday, September 6th).

Inferno Version featuring Nicki Minaj:

Blue Light Version:

As much as i want to like the new AK single, I don’t. Sounds like some discarded Beyonce track… like a bland version of Girls (Run The World).
I appreciate the lyrics trying to be inspirational (and the shout-out to Gabby Douglas in the Nicky Minaj version!), but she did - and could do - much better than this. No use copying Rihanna and Beyonce, her personality used to shine through and her songwriting skills were good. Hope the rest of the record is great, though we already have two singles from it and they are boring/average/meh.
My opinion, eh.
